The third graders at St. Paul's host a Thanksgiving dinner every year. As part on their reading series, they learn about Native Americans, their symbols and their native stories. In the art room, we use these symbols to create a story. We then make a clay pot (lid optional) and carve our stories into the side of the pot. These pots are used as table decorations for the Thanksgiving dinner.
