Dadaism was an art movement of the European avant-garde in the early 20th century. Dada began in Zurich, Switzerland in 1916 and spread into Berlin shortly after that. But, the height of Dadaism took place in New York in 1915. Dadaism was widely known as an anti- art movement and was known as a reaction to WWI. Art objects were unconventional forms, using unconventional methods to create the work. It was a rejection of traditional concepts of beauty.
